Donations

Run for the Gold is a fund-raising event! All proceeds are distributed to local elementary schools in the forms of “mini-grants.”

Local teachers are asked to submit mini-grant requests for educational supplies and materials that are not otherwise available via regular school funding.

Applications are received, critiqued and awarded solely by Oakhurst Sierra Sunrise Rotary. We have been very successful in expanding local teaching programs and widening the learning horizons of our elementary school students.

Sierra Sunrise Rotarians raised over $100,000 for area schools during our past 5 shows. These funds went to support the following schools:

Rivergold Elementary - Coarsegold
Coarsegold Elementary - Coarsegold
